Rice Consommé Casserole

This might be my favorite side dish of all time. 



















½ stick margarine
1 cup raw rice
1 can beef consommé
1 can water
½ t. salt
Mushrooms and onions, sautéed

Melt margarine, stir in rice. Let bubble for 10 minutes. (Stir to keep from sticking.) Add consommé and let bubble for 3 minutes. Add water and salt. Put in dish and bake at 350 degreed for 45 minutes – 1 hour.

*Bake uncovered, cover after 30 minutes to keep from drying out.
